Russell and Marion Campisi

Authors

We are both long time educators who grew up in the Bay Area.  Russell's academic background is in education and curricular development, as well as neurobiology and research.  For over the last decade he has taught science in California and Texas.  Marion is a Professor of Mathematics at San Jose State University.  As a theoretical mathematician, she works to explain how 'space' can be molded, cut, and glued.  The two of them have done outreach in underrepresented communities to inspire young people to pursue careers in science and math since 2002.  They both love to hike and camp.  Their son Townsend is a partner in all their shenanigans and does his best to teach them about life.

Maya Dite-Shepard

Illustrator

My name is Maya Dite-Shepard. I am a freelance illustrator and animator, and a 2017 graduate from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, with a degree in 2D animation.

A long time fine artist, now I specialize in digital media and the various outlets that they provide for a large audience, whether they are personal projects, or for my clients. I encourage the  collaboration of ideas that inspire new concepts for an even greater stage, creating a proponent of passion, influence, and teamwork in order to make the strongest impact possible.
